Residential Installation Method
- Envirotuff radiant barrier must be unrolled horizontally across the rafters with the printed aluminium side facing up.
- Envirotuff must be overlapped by 150mm at all joins. 150mm overlap markings are printed onto the rolls for ease of use.
- Envirotuff radiant barrier must be fixed between the rafters and the battens/purlins.
- To ensure maximum performance, an air-gap is required between the Envirotuff radiant barrier and the roof tile/sheeting.
- It is suggested that Envirotuff be pulled hand-taut across the rafters. Do not excessively stretch the material.
- Envirotuff should not be left exposed to sunlight or wind for long periods of time.
Industrial Installation Method
- Straining wire to be installed above the purlins and evenly tensioned. The initial straining wire is to be spaced 75mm away from the gable end, with subsequent spacings at 275mm or 367mm spacings.
- Envirotuff radiant barrier must be unrolled vertically across the rafters with the printed aluminium side facing the airgap.
