Youngtherm® Polyester Ceiling Insulation

Experience Year-Round Thermal Comfort & Acoustic Peace

Youngtherm® Polyester Ceiling Insulation is a premier, eco-friendly thermal barrier manufactured by Youngman Roofing & Insulation. Designed to withstand the demanding dynamics of the South African climate, this advanced insulation blankets your spaces to trap warmth during freezing winters and block brutal heat throughout the summer. Engineered from recycled PET plastic bottles, Youngtherm® turns waste into elite building efficiency while working seamlessly in residential homes, retail developments, and industrial systems.

Standout Features & Performance Advantages

- Eco-Friendly PET Formula: 100% recyclable insulation crafted from post-consumer recycled plastic bottles, making it a perfect match for green building initiatives.
- Itch-Free & Safe Handling: Soft, non-irritant, non-toxic, and completely non-allergenic fibers mean it is entirely safe to touch without protective suits, gloves, or respiratory masks during installation.
- Resilient Moisture Resistance: Inherently hydrophobic fibers maintain a moisture absorption rate of just 0.2% by volume, ensuring it won’t sag, rot, or degrade in humid roof voids.
- Acoustic Dampening: Substantially dampens external noise pollution, minimizing distracting roof-drumming sounds from torrential rain, harsh hail, wind, and heavy traffic.
- Lifetime Shape Retention: Acting like a structural spring, the high-loft material resists settling, shifting, or collapsing over time, preserving its baseline thickness and performance for decades.
- SANS Fire Compliant: Rigorously tested by the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) to ensure self-extinguishing capabilities that do not contribute to flame propagation within ceiling cavities.
- Corrosion-Inert Shield: Chemically stable and neutral, ensuring it can safely lay over galvanized steel structures, electrical lines, and copper piping with zero danger of degradation.

Straightforward Installation Guide

Truss Prep: Measure the exact spacing between your ceiling trusses or rafters.
Pre-Sizing: Cut the insulation roll cleanly to the necessary size while it is still inside its protective packaging to save space.
Roll Out: Roll out the flexible blanket smoothly into the gaps directly over your ceiling brandering.
Wiring Fit: Lay the insulation blanket underneath active building electrical wiring configurations where necessary.
Fixture Clearance: Carefully cut precise edges around hot downlights, ceiling vents, and integrated fixtures to keep safety margins.
Zero Waste: Use any remaining off-cuts to safely wrap exposed copper water lines or structural elements.
